About Neal Prevost

I have been a practicing trial attorney since 1993. Most of that work has been in the area of family law. I have been involved in almost a thousand family law cases, including both property and custody disputes. And, I have seen the ugliest of what two people who were once madly in love can do to each other.

When I began my practice I thought I could actually "win" your divorce. In reality, all I ever did was to manage how bad the loss was going to be. Divorce is never win-win. It is always lose-lose.

My Decision To Write

After a few years of practice, I noticed that I was seeing the same fact patterns over and over. I began to recognize the types of belief systems and behaviors that lead to divorce. I guess I could say that I have come to clearly recognize what does NOT work.

I have also come to believe that if a couple can recognize early enough that they are in the danger zone, then they would have a better chance of saving their marriage. I also came to see the terrible price paid by the children of divorce.

They are the most innocent in the divorce process, and they do not even get to vote. I believe that almost twenty five years of practice has given me something valuable to share, so I began to put my thoughts into writing.

My Upcoming Book

On June 1, 2018, my new book will be available through Amazon and other outlets. In it I will identify the most common fact patterns that lead to divorce, explain how to recognize them, and how to change your life in a way that will avoid the pain caused by divorce.

I will also give you the resources you need to get help when you are in crisis mode. It is truly a divorce attorney's guide to staying married. Please subscribe to my site, and I will let you know when it is available.
